Mary Emily Eaton was probably one of most underrated botanical artists of all time. She has left behind very little information about her personal life but has somehow managed to leave behind several hundred amazingly detailed paintings of wildflowers, butterflies, and cacti. She's been honored by National Geographic, The Royal Horticultural Society, and the New York Botanical Garden. We remember Mary Emily Eaton today and the amazing legacy she's left behind.
