Dinner Land X Novum - First Friday

Novum PHL kicked off the first event of Summer ’17 with their First Friday series this past weekend. Despite Novum having an established record with events in the Philadelphia region, no event is ever a sure fire hit. With this being said, Novum did nothing less then exceed expectations. With a full house inside, overflowing outdoor patio area, and plenty more mingling along the streets outside of the Open Space venue, security had a rough night keeping everyone in designated areas.

The eclectic crowd brought in many creatives and artists, making the vibe mimic the likings of a family reunion, but also brought out new faces eager to be apart of the Philadelphia scene, curious to see what Novum had up their sleeve. Regardless of the diverse attendees the night moved seamlessly with patrons being nothing more then happy to have tequila and other liquor flowing in and out of their cups, courtesy of the five dollar open bar.

As the night began, the crowd got to know one another, drank, raided boxes of pizza, and checked out local vendors for the first few hours before Philadelphia and South Jersey artists kicked off the eventful night, trading stage time one after the other.

Performances commenced at roughly 10 p.m. JDope (Camden, New Jersey), Kenif Muse (Bellmawr, New Jersey), 1AM (Philadelphia, PA), and A.V.A aka Zak Rizzo (Philadelphia, PA) took on the vivacious crowd to share some of their most well known hits as well as some new material. Being as though many were acquainted with various artists, it was particularly heartwarming to see each artist connect in a push and pull manner; each performer being able to boost a level of intimacy throughout the room.

Once performers turned up the crowd the party went hard until 12 a.m. as the crowd emptied the open bar and danced into the early night. Many taking full advantage of the festivities, sticking around until security eagerly pushed for the door.

Novum did nothing less then proceed their legacy with another successful First Friday event. Dior Stewart and the Novum team are eager to roll out more private and public events this summer for the Philadelphia region. You do not want to miss another Novum movement!
