Cam James - F.Y.F.
Atlanta rapper Cameron James Williams, better known as Cam James, is a storyteller. He was influenced by Nas, OutKast and 90's R&B — using that foundation to build his own sound.
During his studies at Georgia Tech in 2011, he started turning his Facebook poems and award-winning spoken word pieces into raps with the now-defunct campus group NotThoseKids. These rough and unpolished sessions became cohesive solo projects over years of trial and error. The professional resume is brief, but noteworthy. Cam has risen from dorm rooms to major stages, culminating in selections for some of the largest national music festivals in the late 2010s (A3C, SXSW).
Following his first TV placement on BET's Being Mary Jane in September 2017, Cam James releases his independent sophomore album, leviTAPE, along with the short film for his 2015 single "F.Y.F." (Prod. by the Cratez).
